[ It is weird, but mainly because there's a part of him that's actually feeling pleasant for some reason and he doesn't know how to deal with that. Because of his personality, he doesn't exactly have many friends. While he's used to being admired for his talent, he's less used to people wanting to be personally close to him. ]

Hmph. 'Sworn brothers' is an overused trope. If you're really that lonely, you're free to do what you like.

[ while vane isn't technically late, rohan can probably notice he's wandering around their meeting area. clearly unsure of which place around the station was the most optimal. he probably should have asked. he's definitely toting a beach ball and a bag that looks a little bigger than a day trip bag. ]

[ Rohan kind of squints his eyes at that message and doesn't bother with a reply. Honest? He's always honest! Please. He'll be at the station at their promised time, because he isn't tardy about meeting deadlines.

After a few minutes of waiting at the main entrance, he spots Vane wandering around aimlessly in the general vicinity instead. ]

Where are you trying to go? When told to meet at the station, it's common sense to go to the entrance, where most people can see you.

[ D'uh!! No, it's Rohan's fault for not telling him exactly where to be. ]

[ that may be the case, but as usual vane takes rohan's complaints in stride. ]

[ which is true. after all the turmoil that's occurred in the city within the recent months, it seems like a lot of people were looking to unwind... regardless, he already begins jogging right up to rohan, easily falling in place right beside him.

he lightly presses his elbow against rohan's arm as he checks out rohan's sketchbook and camerakun. ] But, oh? What's this? Are you also feeling super amped up to get there? [ lightly teasing, sort of. sometimes it's easier to interpret rohan's comments to be ... tsun at every twist and turn. ]

I make sure to bring my camera and sketchbook wherever I go. Just in case I see something worthwhile. [ He phrases it like it's the most obvious thing in the world. Vane's bout of teasing doesn't even embarrass him in the slightest, because Rohan actually is quite 'amped' to go to the beach. He has a natural fascination with the world like that. ]

There are many things to be excited about at the beach, Vane. Do you not think so?

[ But he'll start walking further in, expecting Vane to fall into place behind him. ]

[ worthwhile. somehow vane gets the impression that a lot of things would fall under that umbrella for rohan, but he guesses that was part of rohan's charm. he liked that he always seemed so earnest in his curiosity. even if it did land them in some precarious situations. in light of those darker scenarios, however, he gives an unsteady laugh. ] It's a wonder how we end up finishing any mission like that, ahahaha...

[ but he means that all in good nature, of course! ] But, mm! You're right! I'm really excited to eat the fried noodles there again! Or the shaved ice! ... er, I'm only naming foods, aren't I? [ awkward laugh. vane did tend to be pretty chatty...

but he seems to simmer down once they board the train. ]

It's fine. I also want to try the food they have there. [ Even if he doesn't eat much and will probably taste it then give it all to Vane. Anyway, what is this conversation that's almost normal? Clearly, it's time to timeskip to the beach. After the short train ride (that's surprisingly uneventful), Rohan steps out of the train and heads to the exit. When he finally finds it, he stands at the exit, taking in the view of the vast shoreline and pristine ocean. It's almost like a painting, the scene before him, as the water reflects the bright blue of the sky.

Yup, he's really feeling it now. Time to pose in a suggestive manner, hips jutted to the side, one hand splayed over his cheek and the other pushing his own shirt up. Why is he doing this? Who knows, he's a Jojo. ]

[ it's kind of nice to just participate in some normal conversations every once in a while. though rohan can be severe at times, it's moments like these that he can tell that he's a pretty good guy. while other people (namely percival) would probably tire from his "incessant chatter" (his fellow knight's words, not his) it seems like the other man was a little more tolerant in this regard. though, it's not something vane vocalizes.

instead, they get off the train and ....

well, he supposed it makes sense when he thought all of this was going too normal. he watches rohan curiously for some time, waiting for him to transition out of it. he doesn't, and vane looks around momentarily, wondering if there was a secret camera somewhere, or an artist painting the nearby shoreline. also not happening.

hence, he finally breaks the silence with a: ] Uh—? Ro? What're you doing? That looks kinda uncomfortable...? [ said kindly. ] Are you stretching? [ they do say stretch before jumping in, don't they? ]

[ The first time anyone's ever questioned a Jojo pose ... Now I have to make something up to explain it with. ]

[ Rohan lets out an irritated huff. It should be obvious what he's doing? Or, it would be more right to say that nobody in his world would have questioned what he's doing. It's as normal as breathing after all. ]

I'm taking in the beautiful beach scenery. Don't interrupt me. [ They had a peaceful moment in the train at least. Now, it's back to Rohan's eccentricities and unfriendliness.

Okay, when he's had enough, he lets out an exhale and finally starts moving in. ] Are you hungry? [ why even ask ] You probably are. I'm alright if we eat first.

[ if it's something common then vane has definitely missed the memo somewhere.

he supposed everyone had their own way of enjoying something. even if it did seem... puzzling. while vane still seems to have his reservations and commentary, he decides to ... leave it. he doesn't know how the pose is tied to him enjoying the scenery, but ... vane decides to also take in the sights, even walking around a little, before he hears rohan's question. ]

Man, you're pretty good to guess! [ no, it's just ... typical, but vane nods. ] Mm... I don't mind, but what do you think about eating the rice balls first? We can eat as we walk along the beach! [ killing two birds with one stone. or one jelly with a coat rack... ]

What did you put in the rice balls in the end? [ What is this extremely mundane conversation. It's way too lewd, stop. Rohan turns his attention to Vane's bag, helping himself to the food inside. He doesn't mind this suggestion of eating as they walk along the beach at all. ]
